Chandraghanta Maa


  Third Day-Mata ChandraGhanta-
Maa ChandraGhanta is the married form of Maa parvati,She has a "half moon" on her forehead in the shape of "Ghanta" or bell.Thats why she is known as ChandraGhanta
 Representation: She is worshipped on the third day of Navratri, She eptomizes for bravery, peace,tranquility and prosperity in life.She is depicted with Ten hands.She carries Trishul, 
Gada, Sword and Kamandal in her four right hands and varada mudra in her fifth right hand.she keeps lotus, dhanush, arrow (dhanush),Jap mala in her four left hands and Abhya Mudra in her fifth left Hand.It is believed that the sound of the moon-bell on her forehead expel all type of spirits away from her devotees.

या देवी सर्वभू‍तेषु माँ चंद्रघंटा रूपेण संस्थिता। नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमो नम:।।
